Need a good cushion

Sitting 3 hrs. & 15 min is killing my backside, I hurt so bad I can't be still after about an hour. I do have a cushion but it don't help. The chair has heat & vibration, which don't help either. Does anyone else have this problem? any recommendations ?

I use a gel type cushion. Ive cycled through several chairs (home hemodialysis) through 21 years. I bought a brand new one and within days it caused me to have back spasms. Its just a matter of finding the right one for you. Since everyone is unique it will be a trial and error to find your fit. Blessings

At my old dialysis center they had a gel cushion that some people used under the sheet covering the chair, but I never needed it.

They make air cushions for paralized people in wheelchairs...it keeps them from pressure and bed sores....something like this may help you...they sell them on Amazon

What you need, and I used throughout my Dialysis- for almost exactly four years- is a Coccyx Cut Out, 'Bobbly' cushion. I got mine via a friend who, at the time, ran a Mobility cum 'Dis-abled' shop. (Everything from cutlery, to Stair Lifts, from Mobility Scooters to Wide Fitting Shoes- good range too.)

You May have to go 'On Line' but DO try to find one. The List Price, back in 2009, was around £20- so expect to pay 'up to' £45-50 by now. They are extremely Hard Wearing and even with my fat a**e on it, three times a week, it remained perfectly fine. I'd start 'Looking' Sooner, Rather Than Later, my friend.

I have a ergonomically shaped butt cushion, it is cut out at the tailbone, like AndrewT's. It really takes the pressure off your backbone and your butt doesn't "fall asleep". Got it on Amazon for less than 25$. It definitely made a difference.

I got the Everlasting Comfort cushion from Amazon it has helped so much.I also got a lotion called Epson -it. the combination has helped so much.
