Are you talking about the costs after the transplant surgery? If you are in the U.S. the recipient's insurance would normally pay for all medical costs related to the surgery. After you have recovered from surgery, a living donor is normally back to full health again as transplant clinics only let the most healthy people donate a kidney. I'm not sure if I answered your question, but if you are considering donating a kidney, contact your nearest transplant clinic. They can give you much more information.
