Increased HB

Just had a call from my renal unit to say my HB is to high. Its 14 and was 11 last month. Im currently not having epo/eprex injections and those stopped in December. I have been making sure i each vegetables high in iron but dont eat red meat and cant believe diet alone would have caused this increase as I would think you need to eat a lot of them. This is my 2nd week of home HD and their saying i should dump my blood the next few sessions. Has any one else had their HB increase without epo/eprex injections and what caused it?

I currently have pneumonia but surely this isn't related?

Any clues or advise greatly accepted as they've said it's dangerous for my fistula but not why?

Thanks

Charlene,

It's good to see a post from you again:) Unfortunately I have just the opposite problem; extremely low HB. If you and I could average our data we'd both likely be just right on this:)

I look forward to hearing what others have to share on this topic.
