Hello everyone. I have been on dialysis for 17 months,. I go Tuesday, Thursday,and Saturday for 3 hours 15 minutes. I feel g9od because initially behan with 4 hours 15 minutes. My doctor rewarded me with the reduction because my labs were at goal. My biggest problem is the Renal diet. It's difficult to completely change eating habits after 70 years, but I have complied and I must admit I feel better. Our center has a dietician who allows eating in moderation and that has allowed me to have something regular occasionally. I take Binders before meals.

All in all my experience has been good. I have good family support who keeps me honest. The techs at my center are great and they try to remove as much fluid as possible.

Thank you for your story and bless you. I will be starting hemodialysis in 2020. I rather go to a center 3 days a week vs being hooked up every night to a machine. I pray I can get in early and recover to work late afternoons.
