Look up posts by Bassetmommer. She shared a lot of good information, first about how she delayed dialysis for years, then how she decided which type of dialysis to use, and what the experience was like.

This is great site describing the various forms of dialysis and also provides a questionnaire to determine the one that fits your interests and lifestle. lifeoptions.org/living-with.... Hopefully, your doctor will go over these things with you as well. If possible, ask your doctor for a referral to a dialysis center so you check things out in advance - it's good to be comfortable and prepared going there. I trust that things turn out fine for you!
