Candesartan side effects

Hi all,

I have Kidney disease, identified as dense deposit disease. I have proteinuria and take Candesatan as a blood pressure lowering med. My blood pressure is actually quite low anyway. Does anyone else take this drug? the side effect I suffer with is achy arms. It sounds a bit weedy as a problem but I struggle with mobility in my arms. Any thoughts helpful, thank you. I also take a statin as cholesterol has been high.

I take a telmisartan. The ‘sartans’ are all ARBs. Did you start on the statin at the same time as it’s very common to get achy arms/legs on statins?

Hi Badger2024, The statin I take is Rosuvastatin 5mg. Maybe it’s a combination of both. I have tried various statins over the years all with slightly different side effects. Do you get aches with Telmisartan?

I don’t get aches from my BP medication as far as I know. I do get restless legs though but have had that for years
