Does anyone know if systemic enzymes, like Wobenzym, are bad for those with kidney disease. They are to reduce joint pain and inflammation, but I am wondering if they are as bad as nsaids. I have been taking some every day for years, but now I am 3a kd. Hard to find any answers to that question Thanks, Peggy
Systemic enzymes: Does anyone know if... - Kidney Disease
Systemic enzymes
Hi Peggy
How is your joint pain now? Has it improved after using these enzymes?
I have used that product but found boron more effective for joint pain. I am currently using lumbrokinase enzymes specifically for my kidneys to clear fibrin and scar tissue. In my research I also came across dysbiosis and it's effect on the whole body. When meat is eaten gut bacteria create TMA which when processed by the liver creates Trimethylamine-N-oxide (TMAO) a metabolic toxin which increases the risk of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular events as well as contributing to both development of renal insufficiency and mortality risk in chronic kidney disease patients. It has also been implicated in autoimmunity and vascular dysfunction. Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG is one of the few strains that mitigates TMAO concentrations by gut microbiota modulation. Gut bacteria do not create TMA from a plant based diet. If I have animal protein I take the GG probiotic with it to reduce TMA. I encourage you to learn more about the the gut biome. Always consult with your health care professional before using any supplement.
