ive been in the hospital recently with fluid on the lungs and the chf.my egfr went from 51 to 53 to 57 in a weeks time.is that normal foer ckd?

Yes, totally. It is probably because you had fluid retention everywhere and when they drew it off, it helped the kidneys. Be glad.
The higher your GFR, the betrer. Aim for 60+ . My GFR has gone up a couple of times duri g hospital stays. My guess is that the i travenois fluids keep me qell hydrated and my feet up allow the retained fluid to leave. If you can keep it uo, that is good news!
