Hello there Dear Santa,

This is your buddy, Sidney.

All I want for Christmas

Is a slightly used kidney.

Seems my set I had

Although I tried my best,

Has slowly gotten bad

But I passed my transplant test.

This journey has been tough

And has had its ups and down

Lots of trial and errors

Don’t want to be hospice bound.

So, Santa if you will

From your bag pull a kidney out

My family and I will be

So happy, I promise we will shout.

I thank you Santa for showing me

How many wonderful friends

That have joined me along this pathway

No matter how it ends.

To all of you on this forum

I wish you the very best

May your holidays be joyful

And you get lots of rest.

I thank your all for supporting me

And joining me in this fight

Merry Christmas to all

And to all a Goodnight!

PS: Sidney is not my name, but it rhymed with kidney…..

Best to all of you, Bassetmommer.

Hey, I love your poem. Have you thought of sending it to a local Newspaper or publishing it in your social media. Inclide the information of your transplant center and your case number, etc. I got my donnor through sharing my story in the local newspaper. And you lnow people sre in a more "giving mood" in Christmas time. Just and idea. Wishing you that a donor comes by and grant you your wish!
