Medication and ckd

What can I do.

As said in previous posts I now have to take medication for my depression - does anyone know if anti depressants cause extra damage.

I really have no choice because of how severe the depression is.

One of the medications is Trazadone but at a low dosage.

You have all been so helpful.

Hello - thanks for your reply - I was thinking of increasing the trazodone to 150mg but it gives me constipation and that makes me feel awful.

Hello - thanks for all your help here. I was also put on quietpine 50mg to help with sleep but it doesn't work. I had many years taking Zopiclone after a breakdown and have stopped taking that completely - it stopped working. I get tempted to try it again because I am desperate for sleep but so far I haven't succumbed.

I doubt he can just increase it on his own.He probably isn't prescribed more than he is suppose to take

i’ve been on an antidepression medication for 50 years. It’s made all the difference in the world. Good luck and I bet you’ll be feeling a lot better in a few weeks. It might take your doctor a little while to get the medicine just right for you. I had my transplant one year four months ago.

It may react strongly with valerian root. I took both...got sleepy but stayed up as I was doing something. My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest and I passed out. Be careful.

Hello - I think that any supplement may have bad side effects with ckd

OMG, I had THE worst experience with valerian root all on its own.

My heart was beating out of my chest and I had a panic attack! this was long before CKD.

I am wary of natural supplements. The valerian was prescribed to me by my naturopath, so I had no reason to believe the dosing was wrong. My naturopath has also suggested several supps that are contraindicated with CKD. You really have to pay attention and advocate for yourself. Some of these supplements are dangerous, Be careful!

I just have a 50mg dose - it seems to help though.
