CT scan with contrast Sunday - worried 😥

Hi, I had an ultra sound on my liver over a week ago and the clinician noticed something on my kidney. Liver fine. She looked at a previous CT from May 2021 when my liver was poorly as the lump or whatever it is was there at that time. I also had an ultra sound on my liver and kidneys December this year and nothing was mentioned apart from liver and kidneys normal. I have normal liver and kidney function bloods, although my ALP was raised only slightly earlier in the year but has since gone back to normal. I have no pain or blood in my urine but am convinced it’s cancer. I had a heart attack in Feb this year and was lucky to survive so I have terrible anxiety. What can I expect? Please be blunt and realistic. When will I get the results ? We were hoping to go to Prague 7th if December for my husbands birthday. I really appreciate any feedback. I am on diazepam so can take it !

For the absolutely worst scenario, you should find out anytime soon with subsequent treatment within a further 6 weeks or so. That happened for my mum 5.5y ago when a nephrectomy was done to remove a tumour. But she'd had a bit of pain beforehand (largely ignored) so the outcome may be better for you if you haven't.Following her experience, mum has fundamentally improved her health by natural means so maybe it was a good thing retrospectively? She was able to wean off bisoporol so maybe you can do likewise with diazepam whatever the outcome.

Thank you for replying and it has put my mind at ease some what. I really don’t want to be the reason I can’t take my husband to Prague. We haven’t been away since lock down. I am only on diazepam for this week and until I get the results. (Short term) I am on a lot of other meds including bisoporol like your mum but that’s for life because of my stent! Just gets me down that I am the one that spoils our plans. Not that that bothers my husband. He is very supportive. Once I know what’s what I will have to cope it’s the just not knowing that’s horrible at the moment
