Hi lovely people, hope u are all well. I need some advice pls. My hubby gfr is 3% and currently doing all tests for transplant. He has a live donor. His BP is constantly high at 213/135 and sometimes higher and he has constant headaches. His meds have been changed as well but still no change to his BP.
Any suggestions on this would be appreciated π

HI Lolls,With that high a BP, I hope they are monitoring him daily. The headaches are from the BP being so high. I would think they would want him in the hospital. Wish you both the best.
I'm sorry to hear about your husband's pain. Before diagnosed with kidney disease, I've lived with intracranial hypertension - too much brain fluid in my head. I've lived with IH for years but it is important to get a FULL vision test from an MD. If there is a pressure issue, they can detect that with eye tests on the optic nerve. No pain involved in the tests! Thank goodness. Hopefully his headaches get better and his BP gets much lower. God Bless!
He has had his eye tested cause he was experiencing pressure on the left eye but it was all clear. Also had a CT scan done. Thank u for the well wishes. Be blessed π
It is really dangerous for his health to have BP that high. Be his advocate and demand the doctor do something. High BP is damaging his kidneys more and also his heart - causing scarring. Hope the doctor gets this under control!
BP this high is very dangerous. He should be in the hospital until they can find a med that gets his BP down. Just my two cents. Please take care and help him get the care he needs. We really have to advocate for our health 24/7 as most doctors do not give the level of care needed. That is what I find. Also, be sure to attend the doctor appts with him or doctor visits, as you will see things needing attending that your husband does not. Demand good care. I wish you all the best, and him too. BB
