Is there anyone else on this site or does anyone even know anyone who has a horseshoe kidney? There are no support groups or even doctors who have a clue. I am not a candidate for transplant due to the way this is formed. They said once I go on dialysis I am pretty much numbered as short timing it. I am stage III teetering on stage IIII. My abdominal aorta is calcified (severe) and has been for years. If anyone else has this problem please message me.

I am fully aware of Horseshoe Kidney and have read almost every study on it. I have a Urologist and had a Nephrologist until a few days ago. My issue is that I do not know of another person who has this affliction and I am looking for another person who has it that is not under the age of 20 but has made it into their 50's or later. It is unique and I cannot even find a support group specifically for this. Most doctor's say they know what one is but in reality when questioned very few (none that I have met) have actually treated a patient with this condition. Thank you for the information though.
