Hi, I'm in stage 4. Just had a fistula done 3 weeks ago in my upper arm. I'm looking for an area support group to make friends and share experiences. I live in Delmar, NY near Albany. Any ideas?

I assume you will soon begin dialysis with the modality of your choice. Have you considered putting up a notice at the dialysis center?There is also another community called Kidney Dialysis that you might post in.

What is your GFR? They wanted to put a fistula in 4years ago but I said I would manage for now. If had it done it wasn’t used all these years for nothing. I am stage 5 with GFR going between 10&12 at the moment. Good luck with yours as once you start the only way is a transplant. For me it’s not an option
