I'm diabetic, have HBP, and CKD. I checked with my nephrologist, cardiologist, and PCP and got their okay for the vaccine. Two weeks ago I got the first dose of the Pfizer shot and next week I get the second dose. I had no ill effects from the first shot.

Hi Harry,

My brother is a severe type 2 diabetic who also has high blood pressure and Polycythemia Vera.

He and I are set to get the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine today.

We both had a a dry mouth during our observation 15 minutes post injection which lasted about an hour a sore arm for 24 hours beginning late that evening.

We also were told most folks are fatigued for a couple of days post 2nd dose.

Everyone is different.

We were advised to drink fluids for 48 hours post and given a sheet with info on the vaccine by the administering folks.

I checked with my nephrologist, and he, his cardiologist prior to taking the vaccine.

All will be good.

Best,

Bet

None needed! Remember that everyone is different.

Both have a fridge full of food extra water and ginger ale in case we feel tired or want to veg out.

Take Care!

Going for my second dose today. I first called ALL of my doctors to make sure getting the shot was a good idea. And they all agreed. First shot was easy. I only had a sore arm for 24 hours. Plan on doing nothing for the second shot but chill and drink water and rest. I was lucky to get it on a Friday.
