I am worried the NHS are not contacting people with underlying health conditions until 23/3/20 at the earliest

I’m definitely self-isolating leaving my house only for medical appointments or labs at this point.

Hi, can I ask how long you will be self isolating for. My husband has kidney disease and is gonna follow the government guidelines and isolate for 12 weeks but I don’t no whether myself and children should be doing the same. If you live with others will you all be doing the same length of time? 😊

I live alone so will be self isolating until such time as we’re told it’s fairly safe to be back outside more normally. I have no idea what to expect on length; I’m hearing everything from 4-5 months to 18 months with the virus reoccurring or resurfacing in waves.

I’m hoping we get some sort of handle on this in the next 4 months or so... But I’ll do what is needed to protect myself.

Hi there, I am worried too. My husband (kidney transplant 10 years ago) was told by employer to self isolate for now. Then the next day, he was told that because they have put in place measures like splitting shifts and telling people to stay 2 metres apart, it is now safe for him to return. It's a factory in the oil industry. Can't see everyone abiding by that. And he travels 40 mins by bus to get there. This delay in the issuing of official guidance is putting people in the high risk category in a difficult and potentially dangerous position. Guess we just have to be careful and keep our fingers crossed until Monday. My best wishes to everyone in this situation. Can't be easy not knowing what we should be doing. Of course, my husband is taking it in his stride. He's been through so many operations and procedures from a young age, that he seems not to worry much about anything. I do that part for him 😉
