Negative UFs

Been on dialysis for almost two years, worked through 1 -1/2 years of it. Suddenly getting negative UFs. Any remedies or what may cause it?

Hey Marvin! UF stands for “Ultrafiltration”, and it is the process of filtering fluids by dialysis. (I looked it up.) But that’s all I know. 😊👍

Hello Cjkd. I feel terrible for you, but I don’t know much about dialysis, truthfully, and though I’ve tried looking it up, I couldn’t find anything that explained this issue. Perhaps your your PCP or your nephrologist could offer you a reason for the negative UFs. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful to you.

Thank you..my nephrologist and PD Nurse are in the process of cause elimination which is a lot of testing. I will keep wveryone posted.
