Doc Help in Arizona

Do any of you have any recommendations for a neph in AZ? I am at Southwest Kidney now but hopping to find somebody who is more willing to work as a team with the nutritionist. Also open to natural approach... My current doc has no idea what my nutritionist says and they have never met... Even though he recommended her... Feel very rushed in and out of the room and he does not do a great job at getting back to me with questions.

At 30 gfr when I joined this group and last test was 42 so I am headed in the right direction but want more help.

Thanks!

You can go to HEALTHGRADES and put your in city. Then click on find a doctor. When I moved from WI to WY that is what I did to find mine. There are usually reviews that you can read also.

Good luck

Hi.. I’m so glad reading that your GRF level went up. Can you share what you did? what diet you did and did you take any supplements? My husband is 38 yrs old with GRF 30.

I eat vegitarian with the exception of chicken or fish once a week. I do red meat once a month (was very into bbq before my numbers started to drop). I work out, drink a crazy amount of water (about 160-200oz a day). watch salt as much as possible. I take CoQ-10, fish oil and CBD every day. Also start my day with a glass of cold pressed celery juice from Costco. If you have not looked into CoQ-10 and CKD patients, I highly recommend it... Its actually really crazy that our docs dont have us all on that right away...
