Hi all, my daughter has just been diagnosed with CKD I was told stage 3 then I was told stage 4. This is all very new to us and to make things more complicated my daughter was born at 23 weeks gestation and has a multitude of other health issues Luke seizures, hydrocephalus controlled with a VP shunt, cognitive and developmental delays, cerebral palsy and she's legally blind. I'm looking for any information and help that can help me keep her as healthy as possible. Oh, my husband has stage IV kidney cancer clear cell. He was given 6 mos in January 2009 but is still fighting. He has Mets to the bone in his left hip and right cerebellum of the brain. Im also carung for my 76 year old mother who has chronic medical issues as well. She is a 7 year ovarian cancer survivor. To say my plate is full is an understatement. I'm happy to be a part of the group.
