Hello everyone,

About me,177 cm height - I've been boxing at 81 kg a couple of years ago, but stress around going to Uni made me weight at 105 kg. However, after the first year I've lost 15 kg and now I'm at 89~91 kg trying to go back at least at 84 kg(Welterweight).

When I found out this NHS programs(Couch to 5 k, Weight loss program, Strength & Flexibility) I felt in love with them, this whole support community is treasure and I think it is one of those things "100 things to do in your life" .

However, I did the first week and realized how difficult it is to stay on 1,900 kcal when you are coping stress with food... But the creating of the habits - making your 5 a day automatic thing and eating in a normal (smaller size) plates, making sure to get the enough fibre, protein, etc to stay full, is the main thing I am doing the NHS weight loss program.

Although, I loved the first week my mistake was that I did not printed the calorie check-in chart for the second week and lost track of my calories during it even though I still think about the amount of calories in each eating that I do.

Also, something important I've noticed that the lack of sleep makes you hungrier.

Sorry for the long explanation, to get to the point, my questions is should I start over from week 1 or continue by repeating week 2, or go on with week 3, but this time printing all of the weeks?

Thank you for reading. Looking forward to hear from you.

Kind Regards,

Nikolay.

Hello Hukubg and welcome to the weight loss forum ☺ Well done on losing 10kg already, you are off to a great start ☺

The first place to look is at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread first and move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you ☺

Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news ☺

I'm glad you are liking NHS 12 week plan, as many people have had success with it. Also use the BMI checker to find your target calories, it's important to eat enough. This was a major turning point for me, realising I could eat anything I wanted as long as the calories are accounted for ☺ If you feel you would benefit from repeating week one then do so, especially as each weekly email builds on the previous week, but this is not essential, as long as you are now aware of the importance of keeping a food diary ☺

Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate ☺

The forum also have group weigh-ins every day if you wish to take part. The posts can always be found in the Events section on the 'home' page ☺ I have posted the link at the end of this reply,

You'll notice a grey box next to people's names, these are achievement badges, and as a new member you may have a 'Newbie' badge. If you have any questions or would like a Newbie badge please just ask ☺

We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too ☺

Best wishes

Anna

Thank you very much, Anna! I'll start over first week and will make sure to post every Monday my thoughts and progress.

Unfortunately, the BMI checker sometimes is wrong for males because of the muscle mass, that is what the nurse at Uni told me. It sound logical for me.

Also, would love a having newbie badge to make it feel more like a game, please.

Kind Regards,

Nikolay

The NHS bmi checker asks for your gender, as well as activity levels, but as long as you are eating enough that is the main thing ☺

I've also assigned your Newbie badge ☺
