Hello! Newbie here

Hello everyone! I've stumbled upon this page, and it looks like a great place to start!

I'm 42, I have always weighed around 10 stone (65kg); I put on a hell of a lot during pregnancy, and since then (3 yrs this month), haven't been able to lose anything. True, I haven't been exercising...I've tried a couple of diets, but lost very little and got frustrated.

So, last month I started running (similar to couch to 5k) with an app. And I managed to get to a 15min run! But I got terribly depressed when I weighed myself after a month, and I haven't lost a tiny little bit-nor do my jeans feel loser. Hopefully, I will get somewhere on this program.

My aim is to lose 2,3 stone (14-15kg). My frustration comes from that I eat very healthily (said by a nutritionist)- lean meats, brown bread, hardly any sugar (never at home), only water and tea at home, and so on. So I get very depressed to think that, even with a healthy lifestyle and some exercise, I'm stuck with 80 kg.

Welcome to the weight loss forum.

Take a look at the Welcome Newbie post in the Pinned post section at the right hand side of the screen or if your on a mobile at the bottom. Have a look at the nhs 12 week plan, many members have had success following this plan. Use the BMI checker to work out your daily calorie allowance.

Take your measurements at the start along with a photo so you can see the changes when the scales don't move.

We have weigh-ins every day so why not come and join us. You can find the weigh-in on the Home page in the Events section on the right. Just click on the post and state your start weight and any loss/gain or maintain for the week.
