My Hamper saga

Many thanks to everyone who posted advice on this. The Champagne I fear wasn't in a bottle only in some strawberry conserve so not exactly in quantity.

I've managed to give most of it away including the iced biscuits which must be a first, but I fear am still too greedy to follow all the most virtuous advice and having been out to another pre Christmas tea party recently, I came home and ate the nuts. I think though, I am learning more self control - I think !! Good luck to you all.

Hi Sonja,

Nuts are really good for you! Glad you chose to eat those - I love nuts! :-) Really glad you made some good choices and it sounds like you're exercising a good balance of self-control and also enjoying life.

Wishing you a really great weekend.

Lowcal :-)

We won an afternoon champagne tea at a posh hotel. A bit of a saga for us too as we dithered over giving voucher away to someone else as we usually avoid anything with added sugar but we went this week and I have to say really enjoyed it. We had the tea as a late lunch, brought the scones home to give away. We were so full we ate nothing else the whole day! Was a treat and no harm done as unlikely to repeat the experience again for a long time, if ever!

Well of course you must experience these excitements. Ogden Nash the American poet said ' Sinning is vile, but you need an orgy once in a while '

I think you made some good choices there. Well done . life is to be enjoyed , and all things in moderation :-)
