Oh yeah! Day one

Hi fellow community members and dieters,

Good to see you all. I found and joined NHS yesterday and today is my first day of dieting!

A little bit about me: I am Doy from Kerala, India. And I'm trying to lose my baby weight. Its my second baby. In case you are wondering. Losing baby weight after my first delivery was a breeze. I didn't even have to try. (I have a suspicion that it was partly because I was pregnant again. But I didn't know it at the time!)

Here's to a healthier, fitter you

Doy signing out

PS: I'm feeling a little hungry. But I guess its part of the deal. Did any of you have this feeling when you started dieting?

Well done for joining the site. You will get lots of support and encouragement. It takes awhile to adapt your eating habits, but I promise you it works. My advice is weigh your food and check your portions, I found out that I had no idea what the cirrectvpoetions should be.

Good luck.

Good luck. It is an old old trick by try drinking more water. I used to have a glass before a meal and then another if I was hungry after. The hunger will gradually subside as you get used to eating less :)

Having someone on my side is always a treat for me!

Thanks for your reply. I hope and wish I can reach my target. According to NHS I must lost 24kg to get to my ideal range. Imagine that!

You needn't feel hungry. Fill up on slow release carbs and protein and veg. Drink water or green tea / peppermint tea.

It is possible to eat enough not to feel hungry and still lose weight if you eat the right things.

Good luck

Slow release carbs... you mean wholegrain foods or the brown variety, am I right?
