Hoping to make a permanent change

Hi everyone. I'm new to here and new to the NHS plan. I've recently signed up to be a bone marrow donor and was worried I might be too heavy to donate, so I checked. Found out I'm teetering on the edge of being unable to.

I'm frightened by how much I weigh and am determined to make a change! I've done it before and my weight has just increased and increased. I'm now the heaviest I have been and hope to make a positive change.

I am hoping I can do it in a sensible way and with everyone's support x

    Welcome to the community - hopefully you'll find it supportive and encouraging place, there are lots of friendly people here.

    Have you looked at the NHS website pages yet? There is a great 12 week structured plan, which has lots of helpful information and advice. The link to it is here if you'd like to take a look:

  • Welcome, I hope you find what you need in this community. You'll find many motivational posts here! Start by dowloading an app on your phone to keep track of calories (Fat Secret, My Fitness Pal...), it's a great aid! Good luck!
