I am still struggling with my weight but have managed to lose a little but now I seem to be stuck at 11st 4lbs and some weeks I put a little on only to take it off the next. I am eating between 1200 and 1400 calories and I am quite active. Today I swam 30 lengths and then had an half hour aqua class, am I doing anything wrong.

Hiya, I had a similar issue was eating 1400 calories and swimming 5 times a week and kept staying the same or loosing one pound :-/. I ended up upping my calories to 1800, and eating regularly. 5 small meals a day rather than three big ones. I have now lost 4 stone x

This has been happening to me since Christmas and it is so frustrating. Have you used a calorie counting app and weighed absolutely everything you eat for a couple of days to get your exact calories? I thought I was eating 1500 calories but when I measured I was actually eating around 1800 which was actually my maintenance calories.
How about only eating 500 calories on two non-consecutive days a week instead? That's the 5:2 Diet and it really works. This little video explains it very well youtu.be/W9Aj6hRYg4A
I'd tried every low-calorie diet previously and when I stopped counting I put it all back on again and more. I lost three stone with 5:2 in six months up to April 2013 and have kept it off ever since. I'm 64 and I've never been so slim or so fit.
Make sure you put every morsel you put into your mouth into MyFitnessPal and don't eat back the exercise calories you burn and you will lose weight!
