I have been having a discussion with ceejayblue about exercise calories. I have always assumed on the NHS 12 week plan that you do not eat extra calories to compensate for extra activity as it is accounted for in the daily allowance. Their point is that if you have say 1400 calories but do exercise using 500 you in fact have a calorie deficit and are only getting 900. Having said that when I do a lot of extra exercise I do get hungry & eat more.
Please could you also sort out the confusion on the NHS site - or ask it's administrators to clarify - it gives a set number of calories ie 1400 for women but when I do the BMI calculation it gives me 1521-1956?
many thanks
