Hi missworld,
I would suggest that you keep an eye on your rate of weight loss. By now I would expect you to be starting to level out at 1 to 2 lbs a week on average. That is, your should now be over your starting 'spurt'.
If you're losing weight too fast - which I seriously recommend you to avoid - then just add a tad more calories in until you find your place of balance with your lifestyle and levels of exercise.
It's actually easy to lose weight fast, but if often leaves you feeling ill with symptoms such as faintness, giddiness, bad temper, poor memory, headaches, nausea, diarrhoea - just to mention a few of the possibilities, but it can have some more significant health risks too, especially if continued for a significant period of time.
That's all apart from the fact that weight lost in a hurry is usually regained again.
I had problems with it at one point in my journey too. I was averaging 1 kg (2.2 lbs) a week (which really is just about the maximum) but then started drifting even a bit faster, so I adjusted my regimes to bring it back in.
