Did the action happen, what now?

Having just joined this forum, I note that it must shave been started at least five years ago. There seems to have been a "flurry" of input from NHS chiefs and a little later, updates.

I haven't yet found any further input or update from the NHS chiefs.

I wonder then if there is any interest from them on this forum. Is what's being posted on here even being monitored.

If not, then is there any point in continuing this forum?

Perhaps the Call to Action , the Call has been heard and the action happened?

It doesn't appear so, and it's a shame that NHS chiefs have apparently lost interest in hearing what people have to say on here. Understandable perhaps if people just use it to vent their, understandable, but unhelpful complaints..

Unfortunately, I would imagine that the majority of people who are satisfied with the NHS aren't motivated to say anything about it. Furthermore it would appear that people don't wish to think about treatment and care when they're not ill. It doesn't appear on their perceptual horizon until illness hits them. Then wham.

In the meantime everything we do has some varying degree of impact on our health and the health of others. So it's not just a matter of what the NHS can do to improve, it's also what each of us can do to improve health generally. This latter is a social or even moral issue and a fundamental aspect of modern society.

Wow, what can be done about that? I have seen some examples of initiatives that have attempted to deal with that, some led by NHS personnel, some by communities. Ultimately it's communities that can take things forward. A lead from the NHS would help.
