Restless Legs syndrome, Peripheral Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia. Which one? 😫πŸ˜ͺ

Living with these three conditions is a nightmare. I have been thinking, if I had the opportunity to get rid of one of them, just ONE ... which one would I choose?

I didn't have to think too much. RLS is the most horrible thing that can happen to anybody in my opinion. Much, much worse than the other two together.

I'm still using IcyHot and it still helps. It's not a cure, sometimes it takes what seems a long time to start working, but it is the only thing that has helped me.

During the day I have to live with all kinds of pain but I try to distract myself doing things and I manage to feel more or less normal. At the end of the day I start getting so nervous, always waiting for the horrible RLS to start and many times I am so terrified that I cry.

Hi Micafe , would you mind describing the pain to me ? I know RLS makes you want to move your legs a lot but with me I'm getting intense throbbing in both legs and excruciating pain , is this how yours is ? Sleeping has become non existent, pain just won't go away , I've had a Doppler scan and that was ok as was an ultrasound for clots , I'm at my wits end too !

hello Sevenstar1

It's not easy for me to describe my pain because I have so many problems that I'm never sure which one of them is the cause.

Fibromyalgia causes pain in each and every part of my body and of course my legs are no exception.

Something similar happens with the Peripheral Neuropathy something I have since I had chemotherapy, which has a number of symptoms that can be confused with those of fibro or RLS.

What I can tell you is that at night I get intense pain in my legs as if they were burning. This happens at the same time as the need to move them but I cannot determine which disorder is the cause of the pain. I hope this is understandable.

RLS happens mostly at night although, from time to time, it bothers me also in the morning when I wake up. At night the three of them compete with each other and outside of the need to move my legs, that is definitely one of the symptoms of RLS, it's difficult for me to know which is causing what.

Oh Micafe thank you for your reply, i really appreciate, it sounds like you have your hands full with one thing and another !

I also get confused, with fibro, peripheral neuropathy, RLS and APS to mention a few , it's difficult to know what causes what ! There are days when I want to give up and then the next day I feel quite good !

We soldier on in the quest for answers don't we ! Thx for your reply !

You too , nice chatting ! Sorry thought of one last question!

Do you move your legs because of the pain and you can't get comfortable or is it involuntary? Sorry !

Hi again! I don't know how to explain this. The pain doesn't make me move my legs and it's not involuntary either! What makes me move them is a strange feeling... It's like something inside... I just need to do it!..

Sorry, Sevenstar1 πŸ€”. I know it doesn't make sense.. I can't explain the feeling.. πŸ˜₯
