Drug interaction

I have neuropathy of the motor nerves,I am in my 23 rd year of this illness and for the last 6 months have been on BuTec 10 mg for severe burning pain in legs and feet and overall body pain,I have also been on Citalopram 20mg for 10 years my concern is that the interaction between the two drugs is high should I be concerned as the Doctor hasn’t said anything and although I seem to be ok I worry about long term damage.

I would check with my PHARMACIST…Really… Sometimes I feel that, and I know that, my physician is to busy and can’t give me the one on one care I desire when I want to know about my medications. So, I call and talk to my PHARMACIST, specifically regarding long term problems with drugs I am taking and the interaction of one drug and another.

You’d be surprised the advanced knowledge of PHARMACISTS OVER PHYSICIANS…and my Doctor somewhat expects me to know what I’m taking and by reading the supplements attached to my drugs, you’d be even further surprised at what’s contained in those. If you have a good pharmacist, you’d be even more surprised at what they can find out in specific journals and summaries they read, and they usually truly enjoy customers whom like to make inquiries about their drugs and interactions and information regarding the drugs they are taking.
