NEED TO KEEP FIT AND HEALTHY!!
Hello, I had a form of neuropathy which started two years ago. This horrible condition creeps up on you and can cause a lot of distress. I had burning feet, a couple of numb toes as well as a creeping feeling on arms and legs which felt like insects moving. At the time I was attending a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme as I suffer with the lung condition bronchiectasis. The programme was in two parts, first part exercise and the second was education. While discussing the exercises I mentioned my neuropathy and how could I help myself. The following exercises were recommended: Gentle walking, swimming, cycling and stretching exercises. Possibly join a yoga type Group. I joined a local exercise group which included lots of stretching exercises which helped.
I believe my neuropathy was linked with the medication I was taking. After researching the problem I found the anti depressants I was taking was probably the culprit. I slowly decreased the dose and came off it. I am pleased to say I haven't had any further trouble for at least six months.
I dont know what caused your neuropathy but I would recommend doing some of your own research to see if there's anything you can pin down as the cause.
Best wishes.
