Hello you guys jus wanted to ask has anyone tried lyrica and if so how was the side effects ? Im scared to take it because of bad reviews but 400 mg gabapentin is not helping so much with the pain especially when it comes to walking . If you have any info about lyrica and how it worked for you please let me know . Thanks ❤️

Hi destiny I was on that Med before and like all meds each had different effects on different people. I Was on gabapentin before and it really messed up my brain as I had a pituitary before tumour before that was not malignant and I had it shrank by way of pills for a year and then when I had the next MRI the walnut shell it to a Terry tumour was gone they still have to do more they should be doing MRIs every year they haven’t since I went away it would do him good to check I think I am but now I’ve been put on BUSPORINE End it helps with the neurotransmitters in the brain as I was left with a chemical in balance after the pituitary tumour I also have a concussion syndrome from many head injuries one of which was a basecoat fracture with creating a leakage that one mask me read up they put me on the gabapentin and it made me worse but it may work for my dad either, but not for all Amir didn’t work for my dad either as he’s had multiple head injuries As well. My advice to you would be to ask your pharmacist get as much information on your medicine find out the side effects of fight or how long they may last as my new Med did take several weeks before this medication is fully in my system and my side effects are nausea dizziness blurred vision and extreme nausea to the point of almost getting sick but I haven’t yet knock on wood I did one day but I was pretty sick but then it seems to have subsided and I feel a lot happier and my anxiety level is going down because when you’re in so much pain that we tend to have a lot more anxiety and a lot more stress and life can stress us out let’s face it. I just want you to know Destiny that it’s nice to meet you welcome I don’t know if you knew here or not but welcome and the Lord will bless you he will watch over you protect you and he is for all of us were all on different journeys on here and we’re all here to support love talk to each other and pray for each other and give rise to each other it’s there it doesn’t hurt to listen to somebody else’s advice because it might work it may not but it’s not what it’s just patience we’re all we all have commonalties on this website I know a lot of us have an a lot Of different journeys and lots of us have no cure is to what ales us. So give Lyrica try researcher really talk to your pharmacist talk to you get the research they can print you out on it and also you can look on Alberta health services or whatever your health services in your region or is the stage because I’m in Canada I don’t know where you’re located from but I’m in Canada. So just remember to do that always also a little word of advice keep logs or journal of what you’re eating KFC flareups can happen and neuropathy my blood sugar is the been normal first six months now 6.9 is what they are normal which is great except my neuropathy is rapidly causing me pain I’ve lost the use of my right hand it’s not him I had two of my fingers I can’t use it all my right hand goes completely numb burns like it’s in a flame of fire And the cramping in the hands and the arms in the legs in the back in the feet bottoms of my feet and the burning last night I suffered but I started awkward size and it was it was Medical it’s medically supervised and my instructor was awesome and I am I did more than I thought I could I was amaze myself I think the Lord for give me the strength and courage to do this as I can’t have surgeries there’s no cure to any of my ailments but all you need to do is try. And just take baby steps and start from the bottom and work your way up I started yesterday really scared really nervous and found out it really wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be yes I was in a lot of pain but are use my breathing my deep breathing exercises and it worked and after the class I could barely walk I was hanging onto my walker and I thought my legs were going to give out so then I sat down and had to rest and then walked with my husband to the van and went home and I cried a lot last night but I’m actually really happy mentally from this new medicine and it is starting to work and I’m feeling Better mentally as I have a chemical in balance in this new med has Nero transmitters that directly the chemicals in this Med directly go to my Nero transmitters that directly control our nerves in our bodies so it’s gonna take time but I know I’m feeling a lot happier mentally and socially like in a social setting I specially aquasize where I was feeling so much anxiety about going I quickly realized it was it was good and it was A good feeling because I was doing something good for my body doesn’t matter if it’s something small but as long as we stay active that’s the key to keep active so that we have the endurance and stamina to be able to handle our journeys. God bless and have a great day amen 🙏

I moved from Gabapentin to Lyrica and did a sort of straight swap. The efficacy of what I had been taking was equal to that of the Lyrica. With the former I slept less well and think I sleep longer with Lyrica. I am lucky that I don’t really experience side effects from any of my meds but must acknowledge a bit of brain fog. Remember though that what works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another

Hi Destiny

i have a neuropathy for more than 10 years.

just after i was diagnosed , i received Lyrica.

in my case it had very bad effects. in fact i felt worst and worst. it has many dangerous side effects. i used lyrica less than 6 months. i lost control of body and my mood gone down.

after that i changed some other medicates which helped in the beginning but after some time affected mood. i was really bad.

last one that i used is called welbutrin. this one help me to stabilize. i used it 3-4 years until i retrieve more confidence. also this one has many side effects but was ready to pay the price. after these 4 years i decided to stop completely use of these medicates. my physician did not recommend to stop treatment. but he advises to keep medicates close to hand incase of degradation. now already manyyears without use. only in severe crisis i use 2-3 days.

finaly my advise, use medicates only if necessary. after your condition improves try to find alternatives to medicate ( changing nutition , activity , meditation , exercises ...)

good luck
