I had to have emergency spinal surgery last week as I suffered caude equina after a herniated disc compressed the nerves at the end of my spine. I still have saddle anesthesia and loss of feeling in back of right thigh and bottom of right foot. Has anyone on here suffered this and made a full recovery?

I had lumbar spinal surgery last year due to a herniated disc.I had sciatica and numbness but didn't have cauda equina luckily.I had a discectomy and facetectomy decompression surgery.I hope your recovery goes well.I was pain free for 6 months but pain is back and having another mri in a couple of weeks to see what is going on.
It's been so horrible suffered with back pain and sciatica since June. MRI in July confirmed herniated disc felt like it was getting better then last week just lost all feeling in saddle area. I hope your MRI goes well and they can help you ASAP.
Hi there, I have suffered from partial cauda equina syndrome since I had surgery in 2013. It has left me with minor bladder issues and irreversible bowel issues . I get numbness in my right leg and bottom when sitting . I was told that any nerve damage would repair within the first six months .
None of my symptoms unfortunately have improved , only some degree of my bladder issues.
