Hot flushes caused by neck

Hi folks. I kow this is going to sound weird, but here goes. I`ve had neck problems for 25 + years (im now 50), started with tinglys in hands, feet, face, head, now have areas of permenant damaged sensation. Had 3 MRi`s over the years, got wear + tear in C5 + C6 i think it is, anyway, it`s always so stiff at top of neck/ base of scull area, + always painful + for last year i`ve been getting hot flashes caused by ny neck. I know that`s what`s doing it, as i can bring them on myself by moving in certain ways. I`ve told my GP, but they had no ideas, + basically i think they thought i was imagining it. Has anyone else had hot flashes because of their neck problems please?, many thenks :)

I also get this and have for the last 6 years (now 34). I have problems with my neck due to Chiari malformation and the surgery I had on the base of my skull. I get heat radiating from the top of my neck and the base of my skull, enough to feel like a hot flush but I have no hormone issues related to it. For me I can only assume it's related to the damage caused when I had surgery for Chiari but I have no answers how to control it and it causes a lot of trouble for me.

Hello there, + thanks for replying :) . Sorry to hear you`re also getting these flushes, they`re not fun are they :( I read recently there`s an injection can be given for menopausal flushes, into a bunch of nerves in the neck, + i`m wondering if that same bunch of nerves is what`s causing my problem, that the inflammation i have is putting pressure on them. I go back to my gp on the 21 st june, so i`m going to put this to her + see what she says. Not very hopeful, but fingers crossed eh ;) I`ll post back here if i have anything useful to pass on to you :). Thanks again, + take care :)

Hi I have c3c4 damage and get a flushed head and face especially if stressed or tired, it must be due nerves that control blood supply to peripheral parts of head, it makes sense when you look ay spine nerve anatomy. Glad not to be alone in this , no answer to solve it though x
