Degenerative Spine Disease

I'm new on this site. I have been diagnosed with Degenerative Spine Disease in my neck and lumber region. I am struggling to get proper advice let alone an appointment to see the Consultant although both the top local Physiotherapist and my GP are concerned at my rapid deterioration. The initial diagnosis was nearly two years ago and I have had one appointment with a Consultant last March. I have been referred to another Consultant to discuss surgery on my neck but still do not have an appointment. My neck is feeling increasing fragile and I now have numbness in my right hand leg and if I sit badly the whole of the top of my body.

I am in a lot of pain from the lumber degeneration which makes it impossible to walk sometimes.

Anybody out there with similar? I feel the NHS is waiting for me to be paralysed and then it will be too late for them to do anything.
