I have had servere sickness since week 12, I didn't want to take tablets, but maybe if u are that bad all te time it might be wise for u to start them now.

Otherwise the way I have managed my sickness is eating every three hours never allowing myself to get hungry ever! I'm week twenty and have only been sick once this week so far,

Good luck

I had really bad sickness with first pregnancy-nothing helped. With this one as long as I don't eat foods that are too acidic (I can't have any type of tomato product in particular) then i'm generally ok. Certainly eating little and often is better than meals but also Papaya is good for digestion and I found that helped when I was having a really bad few days.

Good luck

It sounds like you have a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum which needs proper medication, not folkloric treatments like ginger. You can ask your doctor for safe, effective medication such as cyclizine, stemetil, metoclopramide, phenergan and avomine. The charity Pregnancy Sickness Support (PSS) are the only charity in the UK which provides information and support to women suffering from severe pregnancy sickness, see their website pregnancysicknesssupport.or... for information about medications and to access support from other women who have had hyperemesis. Your GP may not know much about medication for pregnancy sickness, this is sadly common and reflects poor education in medical schools, so,if your GP fobs you off and doesn't prescribe you anything, call the PSS helpline for advice.

Definately would say go the doctors and ask what antisickness medication you can take. I'm week 22 now and been sick since day 1. Haven't been hospitalized because of dehydraion but did because the sickness got so bad my heart began to show erratic signals. Luckily I had already been to the doctor for antisickness medication and whilst I'm still feeling rotten and nauseus alot of the time I'm not being sick. Means I'm putting on weight and as long as eat little and often instead of attempting full meals seems to be under control. Do ask the doctor to go through side affects though as all the medications carry small risks.
