I am 21 weeks and my baby is a little on the small side. I haven’t felt any quickening or flutters that I have noticed and the only thing I have felt is the odd pain or stitch in my tummy. Is this baby kicking or growing pains?
I know I shouldn’t feel baby regularly until 24 weeks but I’m pretty sure I haven’t felt anything yet. Are any of you the same?

Hi everyone is different as to when they start feeling the baby I remember that those early movements didn’t feel like I would expect it was more this weird feeling kind a like butterfl In your belly, so it is possible you just don’t recognise those. Have you had your 20 week scan yet? As this will give you some assurance and if you are really worried speak to your midwife but most likely you will just start feeling movements a little later xx
I didn't realise exactly what it was until about a week after I started feeling baby. For me it felt like wind and then gradually got stronger until I began to recognise it and could start to distinguish between a kick and a bubble LOL!! But it was around week 19/20 and like jessyjessy572 I'd say everyone is different and if you haven't had your scan that will reassure you. I'm sure everything is fine xx
Im 21 weeks and hadnt felt my baby girl properly until the last week it was very hit and miss before that to me it feels like a nerve twitching in my stomach i only feel her when im sitting still or laying on my side in bed the first 3 times i noticed she did it after i had a sugary drink, like the others say it depends where your placenta is how much you feel
