My little girl is nearly 7 months and has weeks of sleeping through the night and then weeks of not. I don't do anything different at bed time. Any recommendations to help us both get a good night sleep would be muchly appreciated xx

my lb like that now had months of him sleeping through the night now all of a sudden he started to wale up at least 3 times a night. I dont think there is much you can do I dont think the heat helps as well. hope you get a good night sleep soon xx

I think they go through phases of this. We’ve had the bad odd phases and no idea what it is but always goes back to normal x

My little boy didn’t sleep through until he was 14 months (this was only a couple of weeks ago and he still generally wakes 1-2x a night) but did have phases of being worse then improving again. I think 7 months was particularly bad actually. One thing I learned is that he’s done it in his own time without me particularly ‘doing’ anything.

Sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear but I think it does help to know it’s normal and the best thing to do is stick to the same routine wherever possible to help keep things consistent for her x

My 18 month old still doesn't sleep through the night!! He's only waking once now though, so I feel like we are so close. They go through phases constantly, could be a growth spurt, could be the warmer weather. It'll settle into a routine soon enough. Hopefully soon.

Sleep is developmental so sleeping through the night is unlikely to come until baby is much older. Leaps, growth spurts, teething, needles, bugs, changes to routine all have a part to play. I have the wonder weeks app which tracks the different leaps and when baby is going to go through one of them. It’s been bang on for my son so far and he’s 12 months old xx
