Being sick during the night

Hi 34wks 3day preg and last few nights ive been getting up and bieng sick feelimg very bloated and heartburn is it normal as ive never had this problem with other 4 pregnacy should i tell my midwife or not worry to although coz i was sick im now coughing alot like there is feather in my througt

Sounds like acid reflux which is very common in the end of pregnancy. It can make you cough and vomit too. Have you tried any anti acids gaviscon or rennies etc. there are other things you can get from doctor but these you can get over the counter. I used to have a bottle of gaviscon next to my bed and gulp directly from the bottle 😳

I havnt tryed any of that yet didnt think i could as i always told cant have anything while im pregnant

Hey gem06, gaviscon is perfectly safe during pregnancy ☺ it was an absolute godsend when I was pregnant! It was a permanent feature on my bedside table haha! Other things you could try is not drinking gassy things like pop before bed, eating a bit earlier and try sleeping more propped up (because getting comfy isn't hard enough in pregnancy). Sometimes milk helps as well and trying to figure out your trigger foods. Mine were meaty stuff like smoky bacon crisps, corned beef any form and beef mince. But definitely get yourself some gaviscon... At least its there if you need it x
