Decrease in movement..

Hi ladies,

Well since about 12 last night I have hardly felt any movement from my baby girl. She did give a couple kicks about an hour ago but that was the first time since last night and again haven't felt nothing since. It's very unusual as she is always on the move. Just got back from work and drinking a freezing cold glass of water to try and liven her up.

Shall I wait a couple more hours and see if movement increases or should I give the midwife a call?

:/

Give the mw a call hun, they say you should feel at least 10 movements per day so they will probably call you in for a bit of monitoring just to make sure baby is ok! Xx

Ps how many weeks are you? X

Okay Hun thank you! And I'm 27 weeks x

Ring maternity triage they will tell u to go down thinks it's 10 movements by 6pm so def get checked x

You should ring your midwife and get yourself to the hospital. They will check you. It happend to me on my sons turn but he was fine. He just had turned. Try not too worry too much. Stress is not good for the baby and good luck

My little boy had a very quiet day about one a week but call triage for sure! Let us know how you get on! Sure all will be fine and baby is just getting practice in being a little madam! :) xx

Been in to triage and thankfully everything's fine!! Little menace! Just want these next 13 weeks to hurry up! :) xx

I sympathise - I had that about a week ago, at 33 weeks. Didn't feel any movement at all for almost 24 hours and it freaked me out as the little one usually moves a lot and creates whole waves on my stomach! They did a scan and all was well, we even had a tongue sticking out according to the MW. Best to get it checked out I guess and glad yours is doing fine! But it seems to be quite normal that there are days when they're just not too keen on moving much!

Glad everything's fine! My bump is a right wriggler and had me in a panic the other day, felt nothing for around 16hrs so rang the mat ward and they said lie down , drink cold water, eat ECT for 2 hours if nothing happens ring back and go in. Luckily after 1.30 hours he give me a little kick so I could get on with my day haha! It does scare the life out of you though! Xx
