I'm 18+4 and trying to stay active, but I've found recently that my legs feel like Lead! And they feel so tired all the time, especially if I go for a run. i don't know if this has anything to do with pregnancy, does anyone else feel the same?

I hav had spd so in a lot of pain but swimming is my saviour, love it and ur legs wont feel do heavy, one of the best things to do, am 30 weeks and try to go twice a week and it has helped me.

Pregnancy has its way of making us feel drained & very tired most of the time, but its also important to listen to your body "as much as you can"

Doing moderate & light exercise is fine as long as you dont over-do it.

Just like Ceribean comment said i also like to go swimming. It has a way of taking your weight like a float. As i also have a 4yr old son its also good for him to practice his strokes.

Hi there I know how you feel, i've spent the last 2 years losing weight and getting fit and am really struggling at the moment as can barely walk somedays never mind think about running. I was regularly doing 10k races and did my first half marathon 4 days after finding out i was pregnant!! Am now 19 +5 weeks and piling weight back on at a rate of knots!!

Still going running twice a week but only 3/4 miles max and dropped down to the walk/run group at my local club. It's important to me to still do something. I also go to our local parkrun in Worcester which is a real saviour at the moment. It's a timed 5km run every saturday morning and they have them all over the country. It's a bit hard watching my times get slower week after week but it's all in a good cause and the support from people there is amazing. If there's one near you i would highly recommend it.

People keep telling me how important it is to stay fit and healthy during pregnancy and how it'll help afterwards so i'll keep doing this as long as possible.

All the best :)

Hi there, I'm also 18-5 days, and feel the same as u, I'll say listen to your body not your heart this time coz pregnancy is a critical condition u can try to stay healthy and exercise to find that u end up losing your baby by wanting something for yourself and not listening to what your body is telling u, we all want to be fit and healthy bt when ur pregnant u being led by your body and baby so listen it, and don't worry after what happens after the baby we as women can do anything we'll pick up where we left off honey! As long as if the baby is fine and healthy I don't worry about much now, I just give my body enough rest, when I feel that its ok to walk I do bt when my body and baby doesn't feel like it I totaly rest, I don't wanna risk with a single thing even sex honey!!
