Finally i can shout it from the roof tops.

So i am 12 weeks and 4 days, i had my 12 week scan on Friday and everything went really well....but i had my Nuchal scans etc last night. At 38 years old i genuinly convinced myself that everything was going to be bad and that there would be some problem somewhere to trip me up again.

I have had a really tough first trimester with constant Nausea and total lack of appetite, my poor husband has been cooking his own meals downstairs with the doors shut so i can't smell food cooking (and i am usually a right foodie so its totally alien to me).

When we saw the little bugger doing a kick boxing class in my tummy i could of jumped up and down and screamed with Joy, to find out that i was very low risk of downs/patau and Edmunds was such a relief i can't still believe it.

So far only my mum/dad/sister and best friend knows but now i can start to venture out a little more with our news.

It felt so liberating to tell people about it as i feel like i am now not harbouring some deep dark secret that no one can know about.

Whoop...world i am preggers with my first child and i am beyond excited !!! xxxxx

That is such lovely news. It really is liberating when you can finally spill the beans, isn't it? Up until then it's awful having to lower your voice on the phone when speaking to the hospital etc. And great that you can relax about the risk of Downs too. I hope you get over your morning sickness really soon, then you can really enjoy your pregnancy! xx

That's fab news!

I've my 12 week scan on Tues (7th May) and starting to get really nervous!! I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow and had a scan at 7 weeks - all was fine then but still keep thinking "what if". I'm 39 and having the combined scan so I think that's why i'm so anxious too plus the fact my husband isn't here and won't see him until August at the earliest. Luckily I have my family here. Well, I'm just wittering on, hope i get the same outcome as you and can start to enjoy my pregnancy :) xxx
