After suffering excruciating pain in my left thigh I was diagnosed with sciatica. After 3 weeks of getting no where I went to see a private doctor. After lots of blood tests, an MRI my specialist requested I have a muscle biopsy. This confirmed I had Myositis in my left thigh. Upon further investigation I was also diagnosed with Sarcoidosis of the lungs and lymph nodes and granulomatous infiltration of both eyes. The specialist I was under referred me to another specialist who is a rheumatologist.

I am on various medication and at one point I was stable, but unfortunately that was short lived and I now feel I’ve gone back to the almost the beginning and am feeling lots of pain in my thigh, my breathing is very laboured and I’m unable to do everyday tasks which I find very frustrating.

I’ve recently had another MRI of my thigh and am going back to see my specialist in 2 weeks.

I don’t have this illness myself but I did meet someone the other day who does. She was only diagnosed when she couldn’t get out of her chair. She also has lung involvement . I am just waiting for my lung function test 😬

All I can say is with a lot of medication her lungs are functioning better and her symptoms have got better.

I read some good advice on here the other day from a person who has problems with her lungs and swimming has made them function better.

I think there is light at the end of the tunnel for you , but it’s findinb the right cocktail of meds and exercise is key to strengthen your muscles x
