Polymyositis and MPN link

Hello

I would appreciate some feedback. In 1988 I was diagnosed with Polymyositis following a dreadful bout of the flu. I was 27 years old. I have not been aware of the condition since then although I am a chronic pain patient and have had a Myeloproliferative Neoplasm - Essential Thrombocytosis Jak2 + for many years. I suspect there is a link between Polymyositis and the MPN. Does anyone know anything about a link?
