Hope everyone had a happy thanksgiving, we had our dinner on sunday afternoon. When my sister went to turn on the oven so we could cook our turkey the oven had a nervous break down when the self cleaning oven kicked in & locked the oven door. after 2 days of trying everything we could think of & calling several stores that couldn't help I had to buy a new stove. It sat in the middle of the kitchen from Tues until today 12/06. It is now hooked up a running. We had baked squash for dinner. It was yummy!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving! Do these stoves talk to each other? Because mine quit just as the turkey finished cooking. At least we had more than baked squash, but I think I'm going to have to add that to next year's menu.

i am so sorry that is so weird to happen ,did anyone have an answer on why this happend ??? ...wow ...could of had a fire so i guess you can thank it for not doing that ...wow..so sorry about it ...they delivered but coudn't set it up for you ,is that why it sat in the middle of the kitchen ...that is poor service ...did ya tell the service company that sold you the stove ????/...may you be blessed with this stove to be safe and sound for you ....love and happiness.

Well, if Mary's was like mine, there's a delivery fee, then there's a separate installation fee, and if you want the installation you also have to pay for new wiring and plugs or you can't get the installation. I think mine added another $150 or $175 to my stove price.

How are you doing, Mary? I think of you often. Sorry about your oven. One Christmas eve, we were working in the kitchen, when there was a loud BANG from my cook top. Threw the breaker too. Aaand the cook top was toast. Thankfully, our big stuff was finished. Makes for a memorable holiday, doesn't it? 😂

Kinda sounds like my oven the other year. I'd cleaned all the inside out, and whenever we turned the oven on to cook tea (dinner), it'd short the whole house out! 😳 it worked completely fine when using just the grill function. We fixed it by having a dehumidifier and the grill running. Not got enough money yet to buy a new kitchen 😞

WOW! Would definatley let the company of the old stove know of the issue you had with it. Scary when stuff like that happens. Glad it worked out in the end.

Wow, kycmary , this will certainly be a Thanksgiving to remember! Too bad you cannot make your stove walk the plank, be shot out of a cannon, or be put in a molten pit (think Terminator). That would be so satisfying, don’t you think? 😆
