take care and be safe ...
I'm basically done with my 2nd year. No UTI's.
I experienced numerous UTI’s and yeast infections when my lymphocytes dropped during the first year on Mavenclad.
I just started it at the beginning of September. It made me sleepy and gave me some mild headaches, but that was about it. It will be a long time before we'll know if it worked as intended. Your white cells typically fall a couple of months in, and take a while to come back. You may have trouble clearing infections for a while. But once your cells repopulate, you won't be immunocompromised anymore.
Thank you everyone. I love hearing no utis and I am sorry for the ones having trouble on it.
i hope it works out for you!
Thank you CatsandCars and Blankettime1
I am a bit embarrassed that I didn't think of this when you first posted, but I've been keeping a log while taking Mavenclad.
It's been hitting me pretty hard in that it's been hard for me to think, function, and stay awake, but I'm really sensitive to medication so it might not affect you the same way.
Also, if you scroll down, I've listed resources for finding out more about Mavenclad.
Well my nuero decided to put me on steroids, You take3 days in a roll 0ne day once a month then back too three days in a roll again. ARE their any one on steroids?
I don't know why i did not ask why.
That's an unusual schedule. Usually if you have a relapse, like new symptoms, or old ones that you haven't had in a while, a doctor usually gives you a gram of Solu Medrol for three days in a row. This is usually enough to knock out a relapse, although it can take a while for a relapse to get better. Have you had your symptoms worsened recently?
Here's an article that explains what steroids do:

Sometimes, if you're not doing well, your doctor may want to do pulsed steroids, which would usually involve following up on the initial three days with a one day infusion each month. I'm not familiar with repeating another three day course. There may be a good reason, but you won't know if you don't ask.
I think it's a good idea to call your doctor's office and double check what they're planning to do, and ask why. It's important to understand why you're receiving a particular treatment.
If you want to hear from more people, you can go ahead and make a new post with your steroid question so more people will see it. If you have any more questions to ask me, you can reply to this response and I'll get a notification.
Best of luck to you.
Cats andcars, This is to stop relapses . I'm not in a relapse. I know other are on steriods as their treatments. Not on dmt.
