clogged catheter

hello everyone,

I have a supra pubic catheter and since I have a lot of sediment in my bladder, I clog the catheter quite frequently. This happens in one to two weeks after getting the catheter replaced. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am looking for a solution to the clogged catheter. Thanks.

Are you not flushing the catheter regularly, like daily?

Hello Betsysmom. I do flush three times a day any time I flush with 180 cc of sterile water. Thanks.

So you have a huge catheter and flush it three times a day! You are doing a lot. Are you drinking lots of water? Perhaps you should explore why you have so much sediment. Changes in your diet may help.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately I am at the highest size size 24. It’s still clogs.

I use cure medical catheters and have never had a problem. I get them from Liberator Medical.

This is good news. Did you get clogged catheters before you use cure medical catheters? Thanks.
