Good morning Sisters and Brothers. Today we shall discuss why your diagnosis of Relapsing Remitting ms (RRms) is not your fault, YOU did nothing wrong absolutely nothing. It is okay, do not blame yourself. I will give you 5 years to pull yourself together and organize yourself, understanding that RRms is diabolical and very tricksy so your plans will change, and other people have their own agendas that do not always have your best interest st heart 5 years to get your act together is okay, but Disease Modifying Therapy (DMT) is something that should have been started yesterday. Which one you say, the strongest that YOU can legally get. Yes, it will involve a needle. YOU have no idea how much I dislike needles and I have been playing this RRms game for 20+ years.
This of course is a suggestion and an opinion. If your Doctor suggests a wait and see approach, request a Magnetic Resonance Image (MRI) test. This is your life and the sooner you get a Diagnosis (DX) the better off YOU will be. After all YOU have the disease not your Docter.
Now take a breath, absorb this news.
YOU will be okay. Your life will change, BUT YOU will be okay. A little sick but YOU will be okay. Your life may not be bright and sunny but it is NOT doom and gloom and all storms and rain. YOU will be okay, we will help if we can but YOU have a FUTURE and YOU can live this long RRms life.
