OMG: Another tuxedo kitty

Hi All,

Last week, I adopted another cat (well he is only three months old now) from my local shelter, as I did in June 2022. At that time, I adopted Alice (Ali Cat) at three months old. She is a Tuxedo cat who is mostly white but has markings of a Jersey Dairy cow.

This time, I rescued a Tuxedo boy kitten (three months old too) who is mostly black but with white paws and some white spots. He was one of six siblings that folks found outside and brought them to our local safe haven shelter. His given name was BosTon, but since he is nearly three years younger than my twenty-eight-month -old Ali Cat, I call him Bossy baby brother or just Bossy for short.

As some of you may know, I am one of two siblings. I am the eldest with a brother who is three years younger than I am. And, yes, my younger brother is a bit bossy. too. Hahaha. I've been trying to slowly socialize them, yet I've been told that Ali Cat is a Territorial Female who has been here first and doesn't seem so pleased that her Bossy baby brother has shown up.

Although, I've been told it will take a few months, but they will eventually become friends or even a bonded pair, as they say. Wish me luck as tomorrow, Monday, August 5, will be one full week since Bossy showed up (even though mostly sequestered). Bossy baby brother is FREED tomorrow. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers with my two little furr babies! 😇🙏🙂🤞❤️😽

so sweet and very kind of you to get another baby that needed a forever home ...i wish more would go and get some of the babies that are just dropped off ...they are usually the best bets ...our little guy was a rescrew from the streets of the bay area ...he is so special...love and patience to show them we wouldn't hurt him has been the only thing that we had to do ...great little guy ...we always had big dogs...he is now 10 well in october ...enjoy these little lives that will bring you so much happiness and of course for them too...

Hi Donna glad it's you, we have an 18 yr old grey striped cat who is spoiled rotten, my sister and I go down to my daughters & play with her 3 foundlings. They were in her barn & our boy sniffs us up one side & down the other. He is not happy.

When I was growing up we had a B&W cat whose name was Holstein!

Good luck with getting them together. The end of last year we were down to one puddy and that one had a brain tumor. So we got another and they never did get along. I think the new one could sense the other one was sick so refused to even try. I'd like to get another, but I don't want to go through that again! If you have luck, let me know how you managed! If I was smart I would have gotten a bonded pair.

I did animal rescue for 6 years before my ms made it too difficult. Try spraying both of them with your perfume, they find out they have a similar smell and it smells like you, the safe place. It’s not 100 percent effective but it worked for us the majority of the time. Best of luck 🐈‍⬛🍀
