They're coming to my house to assess me so I'm going to throw myself on the floor to get my money's worth.π

Ha ha! Great idea. Perhaps you could ask them to "show you" how to do a few simple household chores "properly" for your condition. Maybe start with dusting? π
After I had my accident falling on the floor I received P.T.
It was a life saver!

I am glad to hear this!
How long did you have to do this?
Are you sure they said "physical" therapy or was it "psycho" therapy? Asking for a friend...πππ

If her name is Nurse Ratched, I'l suddenly regain the ability to sprint!
I have done PT several times in the last few years. It is always been helpful. Youβre lucky that theyβre coming into your home though. I had to drive out and actually mine was like a 50 minute drive to get a physical therapist that was trained with neurological patient. Iβm actually thinking about going back again as I have been having more trouble walking around outside.
I have found that stretching has helped with MS progression specificity with the tightening of my legs, arms and shoulders. A yearly PT evaluation helps me plan a stretching routine. I have a local trainer willing to go through my MS stretching pamphlets and adjust the half hour of torcher but it always helps me feel better.
LOVE IT! WHO comes to evaluate you. I see various grants offered through MS Society and others. I would try to Google. I found a list of about five if you would like and many or related to exercise. Some of the others are for other purposes, but Iβm trying to gather some more information and Iβll share it with you. now get up and move move move !
Iβve been going to PT for 4 &1/2 years now. I have to use a walker to navigate my house and if we go most anywhere I have to be in a wheelchair. PT helps me maintain the mobility I have. I do walking and leg exercises but I also do hand exercises as my left hand is losing fine motor control. Itβs a constant in my week and I enjoy going.
I do physical therapy twice a week and my physical therapists are wonderful. They know how to get my physical therapy extended to where I go all the time and Medicare pays for it. I rarely miss a week without physical therapy. I actually look forward to it and that's the reason I can still get around without being in a wheelchair all the time. I use a walker in my house but if I go out places I have to use my wheelchair. My physical therapist know that I'm very motivated so they really put themselves out to work with me. I have to go to the clinic for physical therapy but that's better because they have all the equipment there. So I have 45 minutes sessions twice a week. It is very beneficial. I hope all goes well with you on your physical therapy.
